Illegal Immigrants A Controversial And Key Immigration...
The Illegal immigrant population in the United States is a controversial and key immigration issue. Our Author John Savant (2009) talks about illegal immigrants in his article ââ¬Å"Imaging the Immigrant: Why legality must give way to humanityâ⬠. He is a professor of English at Dominican University of California. Illegal immigrants immigrate in search of a better life. On the other side author Lamar Smith (2014) talks about legalization of illegal immigrant in his article ââ¬Å" Should illegal immigrants be legalizedâ⬠? Rep. Lamar Smith is the former chairman of the House Judiciary Committee and its Immigration Subcommittee. Illegal immigrants cause people of America to become the victim of unemployment. Illegal immigrants are a problem that affects all Americans, take away jobs from citizens, increase crime rate, and should not be legalized. Many Illegal Immigrants work really hard to stay invisible. Most of them face a variety of national problems crime, drugs, corruption, and a troubled economy. Most of the illegal immigrants believe life is better in the United States. ââ¬Å"Survey shows that about six out of the ten immigrants say that people who move to United States enjoy a better life in USâ⬠(). ââ¬Å"Cultures in MENA are traditions, beliefs, and behaviors shaped by history, religion, ethnic identity, language, and nationalityâ⬠. MENA consists of a mix of ethnic, language, and religious groups. The diversity of these groups allow for cultures to co-exist in the region. The family is very import and the values that come from having strength in a solid extended family allows for respect, honor, and loyalty.
